“Another View' -

Gibson, explored a journey from a secondary
school on the outer edges of Birmingham into
its heart and out the other side – observing
its people, culture and characteristics
with disposable cameras and a notebook – We
looked for ways of discussing and expressing
these individual observations through
imagery, colour and light. We made a 12metre
long double sided wall of canvas and hung it
snake like through a space . The journey took
the observer from rural outskirts by train into
a shiny newly modelled city environment – to
a Balti house for lunch – and into the backstreets
